Back to Ray of Hope one day... mom and Isaiah birthday...

Today Jonathan Yeh who is a volunteer in Ray of Hope is on leave to take driving test, so I got to go back and take his place... the Joy class... wow... those students are really a headache, difficult to control... then Jonathan came back, he passed his driving - first attempt! My mom drove Isaiah and I to Isaiah's house, take the cake Isaiah baked for her - actually 20th February is both my mom and Isaiah's birthday! Then afternoon Jonathan and I checked and typed lesson plan while my mom and Isaiah were with the students in bakery class. Then we stayed until 6pm, then I drove my mom home (LOL - actually I was tired :-P)

Then at night my dad took us to Golf Club for dinner, celebrate my mom's birthday...

Elizabeth Wong

Do you know? Recently this PKR Selangor EXCO got candid when she was sleeping naked. Her naked photo was spreaded online.

This is something really shocking our country. WHO IS THAT GREATGRANDMOTHERFUCKING BASTARD ANIMAL WHO CANDID HER!!!!!!!???????

Many said this is a political conspiration by BN just to force her out. Some said this was done by her boyfriend. Many people from both Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional criticised this inhumane act. She offered to resign, but many people, including me, think she should not resign. The PKR "boss", Anwar Ibrahim, advised her to take a break and consider again. But the Selangor opposition leader Mohd Khir Toyo and Tourism Minister Azalina both call for resign, learn from former Health Minister Chua Soi Lek. Chua Soi Lek was candided when he was having sex with a girl in a hotel room.

YB Elizabeth! It is totally NOT your fault!!!!!!! You cannot be compared with Chua Soi Lek. You should not resign! Don't fall into trap! We know you did nothing wrong.

Perak...

I was fucking angry to receive the news that - Hee Yit Foong (Jelapang) left DAP, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang) left PKR and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) also left PKR, then all supported BN to form new government. Then Nasarudin Hashim (Bota) who left UMNO for PKR suddenly returned to UMNO. :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@

Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin the Pakatan Rakyat Menteri Besar failed to dissolve the State Assembly. The Sultan ordered him to resign and give way to Zambry. While the new BN government sworn in, the PR government still claim themselves legal and sued Zambry to court. Both governments are working - one state two government! And weird, the BN government doesn't fill up the 10 EXCO seats, only appointed 6 EXCOs - 5 UMNO 1 MCA.

The Pakatan Rakyat government had been doing quite well, done many things for the people, and suddenly pulled down by Barisan Nasional.

Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin! Ngeh Koo Ham! I always love you!!!!!!!

Back to Ipoh

Hmm... nothing special...

Saturday - went to St. Peter's Church Chinese Youth Fellowship. Duhh... lesson... Then at night? There was STM Night (STM = Seminari Teologi Malaysia) in Chinese Methodist Church Jalan Yang Kalsom. The St. Michael's Church Youth went there, so I went also. Met Rev Yu Chin Lick who was the Pasir Pinji Methodist Church pastor. The STM students have dance, drama, and the pastor from STM gave a sermon. Then we have refreshment. A female student from STM came and talk to me. She's from Jasin. Jasin Methodist Church. Oh yes, by the way there was my kindergarten teacher, Teacher Leong.

Sunday - STM Sunday in St. Peter's Church. 3 STM lecturers and a few STM students came. Eh? The girl again? Then lunch... go home... then went to St. John's Church to attend the STM TEE certificate awarding ceremony. My mom was expected to get a cert for attending the Anglicanism class last year, and... wow! I also got it!

Monday - went to UTAR Kampar and got some particulars about the courses, then met a few old friends during lunch time...

Tuesday - Gereja Hallelujah and The Cornerstone Sanctuary are going to publish an annual report for last year. These two churches are under Rev Dato' Dr Yeoh Beng San. Through his wife who is also my mom's boss in Ray of Hope, Datin Mary, and through my mom, he asked my dad to translate the reports from English to Chinese. I also helped in translating.

Joshua Camp

After I arrived Our Saviour's Church... eh? where are those monkeys!? Oh, they have gone shopping... then they came back, I asked them where is Isaiah? Isaiah did not follow them, then Rev Jacob told me Isaiah went for 8th ASOD gathering. Huh? Why didn't I know!?

On Sunday, almost all of us went to All Saints' Church, but Isaiah was lazy :-( Actually I think he should see more, since he wants to be a pastor... after service we went shopping in Bukit Bintang area... until night. So boring, nothing interests me :-(

Monday... Joshua Camp started... but most of us were late :P among us there were not only ASOD trainees, but also some older people and 3 adults - a couple and an old friend of Rev Jacob. We learnt that "full time serving" is not just becoming pastor, but actually we are all "full time serving" as we are "full time Christian". But this course is emphasizing on becoming pastor. We learnt something else such as the attitute of serving, etc. And Rev Stephen Chan and Rev Wong Chee Seong were also invited to share their stories.

Then the last day... we pass our ASOD magazine around to ask for signature... then in the afternoon we went to Sunway (except Isaiah - he went home). Actually at firstI couldn't go because no more seat for me. But later... eh? Simon... Dorcas... Jason... Vincent... Sheerah... so I followed them. Actually they also sent Isaiah off. While the younger ones went ice skating and the elder ones went to watch movie, I alone walked around the shopping complex :P At the end I went back in Dorcas' car driven by Simon. The brake got problem!

Next day... finally... we stayed until the afternoon, we went to Puduraya bus station to send off those people who was going home by bus. Then I splitted away, went to Maybank Tower trying to get my money (not quite successful), then... until at night I went to take bath in Billy's house and then take train back to Ipoh.

ASOD -> Joshua Camp

Yea, after ASOD it is Joshua Camp - about full-time serving.

My parents came for the ASOD graduation ceremony. Since Isaiah also wanted to join the Joshua Camp (Bishop applied leave for him!), he followed my parents. Many other people came and watch the ceremony. We have dancing, testimonial, prize-giving ceremony... after this all ASOD mates went to KL except me! Actually I thought of going to Batu Caves on Sunday to watch the Thaipusam celebration, but my father forbid me, as the HINDRAF was going to have a demonstration there and might turn out into a riot. Actually I just wanted to try the Thaipusam train :D But anyway, my plan was a bit disrupted, that night only Pastor Raymond and I remained there...

Next day, I went out for my own breakfast, then Pastor Raymond took me out for a while (he had breakfast with 2 friends), then we came back and I stayed, while he took a few visiters to Orang Asli village in Slim. I get myself ready to leave, took lunch... Oops! I left my jacket in church!!!! Then I bought railway ticket to KL Sentral (3.45pm depart) and visit Chay Jia Jiunn's (a friend I had in Poi Lam) family optical shop. He wasn't around, so I talked to his mother... before I went to take train.

I arrived KL Sentral, then I found that there was Thaipusam train on that day too! So I decided to try the train. I took Komuter to Sentul, then queued up at the booth to buy a Thaipusam train ticket to Baru Caves. One ticket is RM2.20, a small piece of ticket. And... wow... full of Indians and a few foreign tourists... and you know what, I was the only non-Indian in the coach! The train was moving sloowwly all the way, along the way I saw railway crossings, 3 Komuter stations (Batu Kentonmen, Kampung Batu, Taman Wahyu) under construction. And finally... reached Batu Caves! I just walked around, not really watching the celebration (they was not having mass celebration) but saw many many stalls. I took a vegetarian burger as my dinner. The Indian boy at the stall speaks Mandarin! Then Itook the Thaipusam train back to Sentul, then took Komuter back to Salak South (I changed Komuter at Putra due to the Komuter System). Then called Pastor Jacob Bau to fetch me.

Back to ASOD!!!!

If I continue in MMU, I wouldn't return to ASOD after CNY break.

At first, my parents refused to let me return, due to some reasons, and insisted that I should go to UTAR immediately (I want to wait until May intake!), but after Seok Chyi persuaded my dad, eventually I can go back to Slim River!! :D

But I might attend the Joshua Camp in Our Saviour's Church KL after the ASOD. We agreed that we will go and visit the UTAR campus again after I'm back home. We have been there once, October of last year. Again, I took train to Slim River, 2nd February morning.

Now... Deaconess Chin Kho Nee is teaching about the whole Bible. Last year I've attended this lesson by Rev. Stephen Chan. Haha... learned somemore about the Words of the Lord... :-)

Chinese New Year

I got diarrhoea... First time I skipped the CNY Eve family reunion dinner :P

As usual, went to church, then... sigh, no need to say.

Next day, went to my mother's hometown - Bukit Mertajam. Stayed overnight there...

Then later, sad thing happen - my result came out, I failed both Computer Programming I and Database Systems, so... :'(

Withdrawn from Multimedia University. Bye bye MMU, bye bye Cyberjaya, bye bye Klang Valley... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

My parents took me there, do the procedures, packed up...

I'm finished!

Now waiting to study in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kampar... Still uncertain to study what...

ASOD 2009

Well... I have attended the Great Mission and Orang Asli village ministry... I took a train from Ipoh to Slim River on Sunday, 11th January 2009. When I told the counter "Nanti, pergi Slim River", she told me that the Sentral KL-Ipoh-Sentral KL shuttle train service is only available on weekdays, and on Sunday I have to get the night train, I insisted that I have checked online and there was supposed to be one at 2.25pm. So she checked in her computer, found one, and sold me the ticket. On the way, I found that this Ekspres Sinaran stopped at Batu Gajah, Kampar, then Slim River. No Tapah Road and Sungkai.

As I reached there, the ASOD mates hadn't come back, so I went shopping in Familimart. I also contacted Daniel Pua who was coming at that moment. He was coming by the night train, Ekspres Langkawi. He took bus from Melaka to Seremban, then took Komuter to KL Sentral, then took train.

For the dances, I was assigned to control the computer, as I cannot dance :P

The lesson has come - The Great Mission. This time conducted by Rev Stephen Soe, unlike last year which was by Rev Albert Tang. The lessons are really different - last year we concentrated studying the Book of Acts, while this year we really learned about evangelism, such as how to give testimonial... By the way Sheerah Lee joined us.

Then Orang Asli ministry - this time in Ulu Kampar, near Gopeng. We went there by Sri Maju bus, passing by Bidor via Federal Route, then get on the North-South Expressway... until Gopeng. Then we have lunch in Gopeng and then we went up the mountain by van and Jeep. Some left their unneeded things in Shalom Church Gopeng. As we reached somewhere, we started walking, as these vehicles could not enter. There were motorcycles carrying our luggages too.

Over there - only certain spots have very weak and unstable mobile phone signal. We could hardly contact the outside world. We slept 8pm on the first day! We played with those Orang Asli children, visiting around, playing in the river... And one night we have a preaching in the church. We presented dance, drama...

Then we went off as per coming. We went to Ipoh, stopped at St. Peter's Church (my territory!), then went to Wooley Food Court for lunch. Then we went to the Sri Maju main station in Ipoh. They went home by the Sri Maju buses. My dad came and fetch me.

New blog... new life... new new new...

Continued from my old blog: http://edmund-woods.blogspot.com

Why should I be called "Edmund"!? Duhh... no such person in the Holy Bible, yet it is called a "Christian name"... LOL... And want to find out what does this name means? Follow this link: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Edmund and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmund_(given_name). So I find quite meaningless to use this name, as I did not know its meaning, while I gave myself this name.

What about my new name - "Elijah"? Yea, a prophet in the Old Testament. "Elijah", or "Eliyahu" in Hebrew, means "Yahweh/Jehovah is God". The prophet Elijah proved that Yahweh/Jehovah is God while Baal is not. Furthermore, I remembered I enjoyed telling the story when I was 8 years old.

I wish to keep the old blog aside and start this new blog. Enjoy! :-)
