One month...

Things happened, such as...

My notebook computer WiFi device actually broke down long ago, so the whole computer was taken to fix this problem, after 3 weeks I took back this computer!

On 5 July it was Chinese Board Sunday for St. Peter's Church, so Rev David Teh came and give sermon in both Mandarin (4 July) and Cantonese services. But he's from Penang (St. Paul's Church), can't speak Cantonese, so he preached in Mandarin anyway. Actually in this programme, Chinese pastors (Priests, Deacons and Deaconess) within the Diocese of West Malaysia exchange churches to give sermon. I thought this happen on the same day, so I thought Rev Stephen Soe from St Paul Penang came to St Michael's Church Kampung Tawas, so I went, ARGH! Nonono, not the same day, that day it was Rev Frank Lin preaching. Frank Lin will go to Church of the Redeemer Butterworth end of this month, Rev Gideon Lee will go to St. Paul's Church Petaling Jaya next month.

And... what else?

In UTAR now!!

I find myself reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyyyyy lazy to update my bloggggggggggggggggggg.................

Eventually I go back to study life - studying Chemistry in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Kampar. On 25th May went there to register in Orientation, very fast the process! Actually can go home, but then we met friends. At first I already rented a room in Westlake, but then at this moment, Elaine Loh offered me her room in Pangsapuri Sutera. Elaine was studying Foundation in Kampar and now she goes to Petaling Jaya campus to study Broadcasting. Her room is only RM75 per month (excluding the bills) and by walking (using shortcut via Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR)), it is shorter! So - switch place! :D

Two days later back to UTAR for Orientation, all activites were in the morning until afternoon, unlike the MMU Orientation which used to be one whole day... and the UTAR one is much looser, the MMU one very strict - you MUST attend everything, wake up 6 something, and then...

Friday - took bus to Kampar bus station and change bus back to Ipoh...

To Bukit Mertajam...

No suitable railway time, no bus ticket yet... finally the solution was an uncle (Zi Yang and Zi Hang's dad) of mine from Bukit Mertajam came to Ipoh and take my mum and I back (he need to manage some business affair in Ipoh). Stayed overnight in my (maternal) grandmother's house. Next day afternoon we went o Zi Yang's house...

On Sunday afternoon we have great lunch in grandma's house, then at night have dinner in Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Permatang Tinggi. At this moment my dad came. Many other relatives attended these 2 events.

Monday morning my dad drove us home, my mom got to go to work...

Following week

On Friday my dad and I, plus a few more, went to an Orang Asli village in Gua Musang. We saw the Democratic Tree in Taman Istana, because a church member stay nearby, my dad went to fetch her. We all went together in a church van to Simpang Pulai to meet up with some Orang Asli from Gopeng (in a Pajero), then went together. But on the way we found that the van had problem (shaking!). So we brought the van to Shalom Church Gopeng and switched to another van. We went on the Cameron Highland highway, passed through Cameron Highland and then into the Gua Musang district (we have crossed 3 states!), up and up, then we stopped somewhere to eat something, then continued our journey into the village. Several local Orang Asli, mostly children, were baptised there. There were P&W, prayers, baptism, then we have meal. Then as we return, we found that the van was running out of petrol, so we all stopped at a shop in Cameron Highland (along the highway), we did our shopping there, also transferred some petrol from the Pajero to the van, then continued our journey... We have dinner in Gopeng, and then balik...

Nothing else special. WHAT!? Next Sunday I do scripture readin on stage!? NO!! I can't read in Cantonese, and I don't think it's nice to read in Mandarin in Cantonese service either. I wanna cabut... Cabut to Pasir Pinji Methodist Church? Haha... Eh? My maternal grandmother's birthday, so I follow my mom to Bukit Mertajam! Hahahaha...

Went to KL again... I love KL

On 1st of May I went for the Diocesan Chinese Board AGM in Sunway Damansara Anglican Centre. Actually the St. Peter's Church + St. Paul's Centre van was full, St. Michael's Church van also penuh, Christ Church? Initially Pastor Nick only need to drive 2 from St. Augustine's Church, but suddenly he got to carry his whole family as well, so end up? I went to Slim River and seek for Rev Raymond Lai :-D

I took a train to Slim River, followed Raymond with his church members to Tanjung Malim for dinner, then came back and zzz... next morning he drove me to SDAC. We have Holy Communion service first, then breakfast, then Bishop's address (his speech) - Lay pastor and lay reader, development of the diocese, "Allah" word issue... then come to Q&A session. I have made 2 suggestions:

1. Promote the lay pastor's status to be equal with the lay reader. Yea, it is a new post so it is the lowest, but this is still unfair because at least they are respected by the congregration as seem that they are real pastors, so we call them something like "Pastor Lee" but we never address the lay readers something like "Lay Reader Tan"!

2. Lay readers who wish to obtain Licence C (licence to preach) must go for preaching lesson!

After that we have lunch, then reports from various departments, finally election for Heads of Departments. Some changes though. Then we have teatime, after that I followed the Our Saviour's Church van to Salak South, I was going to stay overnight in Eddy's place.

At night, we went to OSC, Eddy and Simon need to practice for the Praise and Worship on Sunday. Then met Joyce too. Other than that, the church was getting prepared for a marriage next day, the couple came from two different denominations, not Anglican. After that we went for supper... I was supposed to sleep with Eddy in a room, but end up I feel asleep in the living room!

On Saturday, before I woke up from my dream, I heard a door knocking sound, thought that it was my dad, so I woke up and answered "What?", and caught Eddy's attention! LOLLOLLOLLOL... Then Simon took his girlfriend and I for breakfast, I paid for all our drinks! :-D Then we went to OSC for a while, afterwards Eddy was going to Kajang Anglican Centre to teach guitar and Simon was going to help Christy to move her house, and I? Went wandering in KL! Haha... At night, Eddy's elder sister Joaan came back. There was a Youth Alpha course in OSC, so I went...

On Sunday, there was an English service in OSC, the sermon was about Christian and environment. Then later 11am I went to visit the Youth service. Er... the sermon is about practice and competition. Then the offertory song has one sentence which is so high pitch that even the girls couldn't sing! Haha... After service, Eddy and I got to rush, he sent me to Salak South Komuter station, I wanted to take train home... But as I reached KL Sentral and wanted to buy ticket, so many sold out, only expensive tickets available! Then I went on taking bus from Puduraya. Wow, why the bus air-cond seem not working!!?? So hot!!!!

LOL... lazy again...

Yea, almost one month never update this blog :-P

Passed through the AVM food fair, then I got back my MMU deposit, bla bla bla bla bla... met the Gladsounds guy, Sebastian, in Christ Church.

Then...

All Saints' Church... All Saints' Church...

It is a place where I really feel like home...
It is a place where I really think it is my church...
It is a place where I really find it the place where I worship God...
It is a place where I really think it is the place for me to serve God...
It is a place where I really feel like to serve there if I become I pastor...

I have a dream - that it is possible for me to go down to All Saints' Church in Kuala Lumpur every Sunday morning, all the way from Ipoh (or Kampar)

All Saints' Church I love you!!!! All Saints' Church I miss you!!!!
